This usually includes information about the parties and attorneys involved, dates, and filings in a specific case. A docket may also include links to case documents.

Each case is assigned a docket number, which is the case number for the court or a tracking number to make it easier to follow the information. Information available for civil cases includes parties involved, date of the hearing, type of hearing, attorneys, and courtroom location. Information about criminal cases includes parties, charges, agency that made the arrest, and attorneys.
